William James अमेरिकी दार्शनिक एवं मनोवैज्ञानिक थे। जिन्होने चिकित्सक के रूप में भी प्रशिक्षण पाया था।
इन्होंने मनोविज्ञान को दर्शनशास्त्र से पृथक किया था, इसलिए इन्हें मनोविज्ञान का जनक भी माना जाता है।
इनका जन्म 11 January 1842 को New York City, New York में तथा मृत्यु 26 August 1910 (उम्र 68) को Tamworth, New Hampshire में हुआ था।
